#440 They called me Imperata cylindrica, also known as Imperata koenigii, Imperata arundinacea var. koenigii, Saccharum thunbergii, Saccharum koenigii, and Imperata cylindrica subsp. koenigii. I pay homage to the male botanists Koenig (I couldn’t find his records), and Carl Peter Thunberg. They first catalogued me in 1812.
