#990 They called me Albuca bracteata, also known as Ornithogalum massonii, and Urginea mouretii. I pay homage to the male botanists Francis Masson, and Mouret (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 2009.

Native to Cape Provinces, and KwaZulu-Natal.

#989 They called me Opuntia phaeacantha, also known as Opuntia phaeacantha var. wootonii, Opuntia wootonii, Opuntia engelmannii var. wootonii, and Opuntia woodsii. I pay homage to the male botanists Elmer Otis Wooton, Woods (I couldn’t find his records), and George Engelmann, or Georg Engelmann. They first catalogued me in 1849.

Native to Cape Provinces, and KwaZulu-Natal.

I pay homage to the male botanists Harley Harris Bartlett, Tacik (I couldn’t find his records), Stucch (I couldn’t find his records), Rostansk (I couldn’t find his records), Victorin (I couldn’t find his records), Reynolds (I couldn’t find his records), and Pellegrin (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1753.
