#248 They called me Heteropogon contortus, also known as Heteropogon roxburghii, Andropogon allionii, Heteropogon allionii, and Andropogon bellardii. I pay homage to the male botanists William Roxburgh, Allion (I couldn’t find his records), and Bellard (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1817.
