#874 They called me Tephrosia purpurea, also known as Tephrosia hamiltonii, Tephrosia taylorii, Tephrosia wallichii, Cracca wallichii, Tephrosia mitchellii, Tephrosia schweinfurthii, Tephrosia franchetii, Galega haynii, Galega heynii, and Tephrosia grahamii. I pay homage to the male botanists Georg August Schweinfurth, Adrien René Franchet, Hayn (I couldn’t find his records), Heyn (I couldn’t find his records), Robert Graham, George Charles Wallich, or Nathaniel Wallich, M. E. Mitchell, or John Mitchell, William Hamilton, Arthur Andrew Hamilton, Alexander Greenlaw Hamilton, or Arthur Hamilton, and Sir George Taylor, Nigel Paul Taylor, Norman Taylor, or William Randolph Taylor. They first catalogued me in 1807.
