I pay homage to the male botanists Commerson (I couldn’t find his records), Jardin (I couldn’t find his records), Deighton (I couldn’t find his records), Ledermann (I couldn’t find his records), Philippe Morat, and Metz (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1767.
