I pay homage to the male botanists Georg Friedrich Kaulfuss, Hugh Cuming, Schoggers (I couldn’t find his records), and James Cook, or Ian O. Cook. They first catalogued me in 1828.

Native to Assam, Bangladesh, Borneo, China South-Central, China Southeast, Comoros, East Himalaya, Hainan, Jawa, Madagascar, Malaya, Mauritius, Myanmar, Philippines, Rodrigues, Réunion, Sulawesi, Sumatera, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

I pay homage to the male botanists Corrad (I couldn’t find his records), Elias Magnus Fries, William Roxburgh, and Jan Svatopluk Presl, or Carl Borivoj Presl. They first catalogued me in 1805.
