#34 They called me Aristea ecklonii, also known as Aristea lastii, and Aristea maitlandii. I pay homage to the male botanists Christian Friedrich Ecklon, Last (I couldn’t find his records), and Maitland (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1877.

Native to Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Provinces, KwaZulu-Natal, Mozambique, Northern Provinces, Rwanda, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zaïre, and Zimbabwe.

I pay homage to the male botanists Ohw (I couldn’t find his records), Riedel (I couldn’t find his records), and Christian Gottfried Ehrenberg. They first catalogued me in 1753.
