#677 They called me Magnolia liliifera, also known as Talauma forbesii, Magnolia forbesii, Talauma rumphii, and Magnolia rumphii. I pay homage to the male botanists Rumph (I couldn’t find his records), and Charles Noyes Forbes, Edward Forbes, or Henry Ogg Forbes. They first catalogued me in 1868.

Native to Andaman Is., Assam, Borneo, Cambodia, East Himalaya, Hainan, Jawa, Laos, Lesser Sunda Is., Maluku, Myanmar, New Guinea, Philippines, Sulawesi, Sumatera, Thailand, and Vietnam.

I pay homage to the male botanists Thorel (I couldn’t find his records), Rumph (I couldn’t find his records), and Edward Nathaniel Bancroft. They first catalogued me in 1962.
