I pay homage to the male botanists William Griffith, George Charles Wallich, or Nathaniel Wallich, and Robert Brown, Clair Alan Brown, Nicholas Edward Brown, Addison Brown, Andrew Phillip Brown, or William Brown. They first catalogued me in 1786.
