#264 They called me Montia fontana, also known as Montia hallii, Montia chabertii, Montia funstonii, and Claytonia hallii. I pay homage to the male botanists Alfred Chabert, Funston (I couldn’t find his records), and Edwin Cuthbert Hall, Harry Hall, or Harvey Monroe Hall. They first catalogued me in 1753.
