I pay homage to the male botanists Blanchet (I couldn’t find his records), and Eustace Wilkinson Jones, George Neville Jones, or Marcus Eugene Jones. They first catalogued me in 1759.

Native to Cameroon, Congo, Gulf of Guinea Is., and Nigeria.
