#294 They called me Juncus hybridus, also known as Juncus bufonius var. kochii, Juncus congdonii, and Juncus bufonius var. cogdonii. I pay homage to the male botanists Joseph Whipple Congdon, Cogdon (I couldn’t find his records), and Karl Koch, Georg Friedrich Koch, Karl Heinrich Emil Koch, Johann Friedrich Wilhelm Koch, or Wilhelm Daniel Joseph Koch. They first catalogued me in 1804.
