#420 They called me Strophanthus caudatus, also known as Strophanthus caudatus fo. marckii, Strophanthus cumingii, and Strophanthus griffithii. I pay homage to the male botanists Marck (I couldn’t find his records), Hugh Cuming, and William Griffith. They first catalogued me in 1877.

Native to Andaman Is., Borneo, Cambodia, China Southeast, Jawa, Laos, Lesser Sunda Is., Malaya, Maluku, Myanmar, New Guinea, Nicobar Is., Philippines, Sulawesi, Sumatera, Thailand, and Vietnam.

I pay homage to the male botanists William Roxburgh, Afzel (I couldn’t find his records), Millett (I couldn’t find his records), and Beccar (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1931.
