#855 They called me Ichnanthus pallens, also known as Panicum pallens var. swartzii, Ichnanthus hitchcockii, and Panicum schlechtendahlii. I pay homage to the male botanists Olof Swartz, Schlechtendahl (I couldn’t find his records), and Charles Leo Hitchcock, Edward Hitchcock, or Albert Spear Hitchcock. They first catalogued me in 1861.
