Native to Caroline Is., China Southeast, Marianas, New Guinea, Northern Territory, Philippines, Queensland, Vietnam, and Western Australia.

I pay homage to the male botanists Georg August Schweinfurth, Laurent (I couldn’t find his records), and Vanderyst (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1891.

Native to Angola, Cabinda, Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Gulf of Guinea Is., and Zaïre.
