#710 They called me Gentiana jamesii, also known as Ciminalis jamesii, Gentiana kawakamii, Gentianodes jamesii, and Varasia jamesii. I pay homage to the male botanists Edwin P. James, and Kawakam (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1890.

Native to Japan, Khabarovsk, Korea, Kuril Is., Manchuria, Primorye, and Sakhalin.
