I pay homage to the male botanists Man (I couldn’t find his records), Teysmann (I couldn’t find his records), and Charles Curtis, Carlton Clarence Curtis, Charles Henry Curtis, William Curtis, or Moses Ashley Curtis. They first catalogued me in 1810.
