#425 They called me Caryota mitis, also known as Caryota griffithii, and Drymophloeus zippellii. I pay homage to the male botanists William Griffith, and Zippell (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1790.

Native to Andaman Is., Bangladesh, Borneo, Cambodia, China Southeast, Hainan, Jawa, Laos, Lesser Sunda Is., Malaya, Myanmar, Nicobar Is., Philippines, Sulawesi, Sumatera, Thailand, and Vietnam.

#420 They called me Strophanthus caudatus, also known as Strophanthus caudatus fo. marckii, Strophanthus cumingii, and Strophanthus griffithii. I pay homage to the male botanists Marck (I couldn’t find his records), Hugh Cuming, and William Griffith. They first catalogued me in 1877.

I pay homage to the male botanists William Roxburgh, Afzel (I couldn’t find his records), Millett (I couldn’t find his records), and Beccar (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1931.
