I pay homage to the male botanists Louis Claude Richard, or Achille Richard, and William Hamilton, Arthur Andrew Hamilton, Alexander Greenlaw Hamilton, or Arthur Hamilton. They first catalogued me in 1788.
#562 They called me Diospyros canaliculata, also known as Diospyros treubii, and Diospyros bequaertii. I pay homage to the male botanists Treub (I couldn’t find his records), and Joseph Charles Bequaert. They first catalogued me in 1926.
