I pay homage to the male botanists Lecok (I couldn’t find his records), Heinrich Johann Nepomuk von Crantz, Delacour (I couldn’t find his records), and Amans (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1813.

Native to Albania, Austria, Baltic States, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Corse, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Northwest European R, Poland, Romania, South European Russi, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, and Yugoslavia.

#25 They called me Iris laevigata, also known as Iris gmelinii, and Iris dierinckii. I pay homage to the male botanists Dierinck (I couldn’t find his records), and Johann Friedrich Gmelin, Johann Georg Gmelin, Samuel Gottlieb Gmelin, or Carl Christian Gmelin. They first catalogued me in 1839.

Native to Amur, Buryatiya, China North-Central, China South-Central, Chita, Irkutsk, Japan, Khabarovsk, Korea, Kuril Is., Manchuria, Primorye, Sakhalin, and Yakutskiya.
