#271 They called me Alstonia scholaris, also known as Alstonia kurzii. I pay homage to the male botanist Hermann Kurz, Holger Willibald Kurz, Wilhelm Sulpiz Kurz, or Albert Kurz. They first catalogued me in 1810.

#270 They called me Azadirachta indica, also known as Melia hasskarlii, and Azadirachta indica subsp. vartakii. I pay homage to the male botanists Justus Carl Hasskarl, and Vartak (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1831.

Native to Assam, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam.

I pay homage to the male botanists Bonat (I couldn’t find his records), and Philipp Franz von Siebold, or Karl (Carl) Theodor Ernst von Siebold. They first catalogued me in 1753.
