I pay homage to the male botanists Hansemann (I couldn’t find his records), and Robert Brown, Clair Alan Brown, Nicholas Edward Brown, Addison Brown, Andrew Phillip Brown, or William Brown. They first catalogued me in 1786.
#238 They called me Weinmannia fraxinea, also known as Windmannia horsfieldii, Weinmannia ledermannii, and Weinmannia horsfieldii. I pay homage to the male botanists Thomas Horsfield, and Ledermann (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1856.

I pay homage to the male botanists Peekel (I couldn’t find his records), and Benjamin Lincoln Robinson, Charles Budd Robinson, Edward Armitage Robinson, George Leslie Robinson, Harold E. Robinson, or Alastair Robinson. They first catalogued me in 1890.
