#41 They called me Phillyrea latifolia, also known as Phillyrea latifolia subsp. daninii, Phillyrea latifolia var. rodriguezii, Phillyrea trabutii, Phillyrea angustifolia subsp. rodriguezii, Phillyrea cadevallii, Phillyrea jahandiezii, and Phillyrea latifolia subsp. rodriguezii. I pay homage to the male botanists Danin (I couldn’t find his records), Águedo Marrero Rodriguez, Trabut (I couldn’t find his records), Cadevall (I couldn’t find his records), and Jahandiez (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1753.

Native to Albania, Algeria, Baleares, Bulgaria, Corse, Cyprus, East Aegean Is., France, Greece, Italy, Kriti, Lebanon-Syria, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Portugal, Sardegna, Sicilia, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkey-in-Europe, and Yugoslavia.
