#776 They called me Antidesma ghaesembilla, also known as Antidesma schultzii, and Opilia thorelii. I pay homage to the male botanists Thorel (I couldn’t find his records), and August Christian Schultz, or Arthur Schultz. They first catalogued me in 1788.

Native to Andaman Is., Assam, Bangladesh, Bismarck Archipelago, Borneo, Cambodia, China South-Central, China Southeast, East Himalaya, Hainan, India, Jawa, Laos, Lesser Sunda Is., Malaya, Maluku, Myanmar, Nepal, New Guinea, Nicobar Is., Northern Territory, Philippines, Queensland, Sri Lanka, Sulawesi, Sumatera, Thailand, Vietnam, West Himalaya, and Western Australia.

I pay homage to the male botanists Andreas Heinrich Karl Brandt, and Harry Veitch, John Gould Veitch, Peter Veitch, or Harry James Veitch. They first catalogued me in 1858.

Native to Amur, China North-Central, China South-Central, China Southeast, Japan, Khabarovsk, Korea, Kuril Is., Manchuria, Mongolia, Primorye, Sakhalin, and Taiwan.
