Eleocharis pellucida

#291 They called me Eleocharis pellucida, also known as Scirpus thomsonii, and Eleocharis thomsonii. I pay homage to the male botanist George Thomson, or Charles Wyville Thomson. They first catalogued me in 1828.

Native to Bangladesh, Borneo, China North-Central, China South-Central, China Southeast, East Himalaya, Hainan, India, Japan, Jawa, Korea, Kuril Is., Lesser Sunda Is., Malaya, Manchuria, Myanmar, Nansei-shoto, Philippines, Primorye, Sri Lanka, Sulawesi, Sumatera, Taiwan, and Thailand.
