#242 They called me Helicia serrata, also known as Helicia curtisii, and Helicia scortechinii. I pay homage to the male botanists Scortechin (I couldn’t find his records), and Charles Curtis, Carlton Clarence Curtis, Charles Henry Curtis, William Curtis, or Moses Ashley Curtis. They first catalogued me in 1834.
Native to Andaman Is., Borneo, Jawa, Lesser Sunda Is., Malaya, Maluku, Nicobar Is., and Sumatera.
