#971 They called me Lepisorus thunbergianus, also known as Lepisorus stewartii. I pay homage to the male botanist William Sheldon Stewart. They first catalogued me in 1933.

Native to Bulgaria, Greece, Iran, Kriti, Romania, Transcaucasus, Turkey, Turkey-in-Europe, and Yugoslavia.

#970 They called me Pachystoma pubescens, also known as Pachystoma wightii, and Pachystoma edgworthii. I pay homage to the male botanists Edgworth (I couldn’t find his records), and Robert Wight, or William Franklin Wight. They first catalogued me in 1825.

Native to China North-Central, China South-Central, China Southeast, Hainan, Hawaii, Japan, Korea, Kuril Is., Laos, Myanmar, Nansei-shoto, Nepal, Philippines, Taiwan, Tibet, Vietnam, and West Himalaya.

I pay homage to the male botanists Jacob Theodor Klein, Thomas Horsfield, William Roxburgh, and George Charles Wallich, or Nathaniel Wallich. They first catalogued me in 1833.
