Native to Andaman Is., India, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka.

#776 They called me Antidesma ghaesembilla, also known as Antidesma schultzii, and Opilia thorelii. I pay homage to the male botanists Thorel (I couldn’t find his records), and August Christian Schultz, or Arthur Schultz. They first catalogued me in 1788.

I pay homage to the male botanists Hugh Algernon Weddell, Prieur (I couldn’t find his records), and Leprieur (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1867.
