Native to Bismarck Archipelago, Borneo, Jawa, Lesser Sunda Is., Malaya, Maluku, New Guinea, Philippines, Queensland, Solomon Is., Sulawesi, Sumatera, and Taiwan.

I pay homage to the male botanists Thouar (I couldn’t find his records), Thouars (I couldn’t find his records), Koenig (I couldn’t find his records), and Joseph Robert Bernard Boivin, or Louis Hyacinthe Boivin. They first catalogued me in 1929.

Native to Andaman Is., Hainan, India, Jawa, Laos, Lesser Sunda Is., Madagascar, Malawi, Malaya, Myanmar, Nepal, Nicobar Is., Pakistan, Sumatera, Tanzania, Thailand, Vietnam, West Himalaya, and Zaïre.
