#244 They called me Chionanthus ramiflorus, also known as Linociera lauterbachii, Olea thozettii, Chionanthus roxburghii, Chionanthus paniculatus var. roxburghii, and Olea roxburghii. I pay homage to the male botanists Lauterbach (I couldn’t find his records), Thozett (I couldn’t find his records), and William Roxburgh. They first catalogued me in 1820.

Native to Andaman Is., Assam, Bangladesh, Borneo, Cambodia, China South-Central, China Southeast, East Himalaya, Hainan, India, Laos, Lesser Sunda Is., Malaya, Maluku, Myanmar, Nepal, New Guinea, Nicobar Is., Philippines, Queensland, Solomon Is., Sri Lanka, Sulawesi, Sumatera, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and West Himalaya.

I pay homage to the male botanists Scortechin (I couldn’t find his records), and Charles Curtis, Carlton Clarence Curtis, Charles Henry Curtis, William Curtis, or Moses Ashley Curtis. They first catalogued me in 1834.

Native to Andaman Is., Borneo, Jawa, Lesser Sunda Is., Malaya, Maluku, Nicobar Is., and Sumatera.
