#22 They called me Crocus veluchensis, also known as Crocus pallasii, Crocus elwesii, and Crocus thiebautii. I pay homage to the male botanists Peter Simon Pallas, Henry John Elwes, and Thiebaut (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1845.

Native to Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, and Yugoslavia.

I pay homage to the male botanists Guimaraes (I couldn’t find his records), Choffat (I couldn’t find his records), and Cecil Norman, or George Norman. They first catalogued me in 1805.
