#670 They called me Allium thunbergii, also known as Allium opizii. I pay homage to the male botanists Carl Peter Thunberg, and Opiz (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1827.

Native to China North-Central, China South-Central, China Southeast, Inner Mongolia, Japan, Korea, Manchuria, Nansei-shoto, Ogasawara-shoto, and Taiwan.

#667 They called me Deparia japonica, also known as Diplazium thunbergii. I pay homage to the male botanist Carl Peter Thunberg. They first catalogued me in 1977.

Native to Assam, Bangladesh, China North-Central, China South-Central, China Southeast, East Himalaya, Japan, Korea, Kuril Is., Lesser Sunda Is., Malaya, Myanmar, Nansei-shoto, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Taiwan, Vietnam, and West Himalaya.

#665 They called me Poikilospermum suaveolens, also known as Conocephalus roxburghii, and Poikilospermum gagnepainii. I pay homage to the male botanists William Roxburgh, and François Gagnepain. They first catalogued me in 1934.

Native to Andaman Is., Assam, Bangladesh, Borneo, Cambodia, China South-Central, East Himalaya, Jawa, Laos, Malaya, Maluku, Myanmar, Nicobar Is., Philippines, Sulawesi, Sumatera, Thailand, and Vietnam.
