#358 They called me Fuchsia magellanica, also known as Fuchsia thompsonii, Fuchsia magellanica var. riccartonii, and Fuchsia ricoartonii. I pay homage to the male botanists William Thompson, Riccarton (I couldn’t find his records), and Ricoarton (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1788.

Native to Argentina South, Chile Central, and Chile South.
