#511 They called me Piper amalago, also known as Piper diguetii, Piper wilsonii, Piper lundellii, Piper macintoshii, Piper medium var. leonardii, Piper wulfschlaegelii, Piper henshenii, and Piper deamii. I pay homage to the male botanists Diguet (I couldn’t find his records), Lundell (I couldn’t find his records), Macintosh (I couldn’t find his records), Leonard (I couldn’t find his records), Wulfschlaegel (I couldn’t find his records), Henshen (I couldn’t find his records), Deam (I couldn’t find his records), and Edward Elmer Wilson, Ernest Henry Wilson, Hugh Wilson, or William M. Wilson. They first catalogued me in 1753.
