#482 They called me Heliconia indica, also known as Heliconia seemannii. I pay homage to the male botanist Berthold Carl Seemann, or Wilhelm Eduard Gottfried Seemann. They first catalogued me in 1785.
Native to Bismarck Archipelago, Maluku, New Caledonia, New Guinea, Santa Cruz Is., Solomon Is., and Vanuatu.
