I pay homage to the male botanists Junod (I couldn’t find his records), Conrath (I couldn’t find his records), Dieterlen (I couldn’t find his records), and George Thomson, or Charles Wyville Thomson. They first catalogued me in 1876.

Native to Angola, Cape Provinces, Free State, KwaZulu-Natal, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Northern Provinces, Swaziland, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe.
