I pay homage to the male botanists Versteeg (I couldn’t find his records), and Gordon Herriott (Heriot) Cunningham, or Allan Cunningham. They first catalogued me in 1855.

Native to Bismarck Archipelago, China South-Central, Hainan, Jawa, Lesser Sunda Is., Maluku, New Guinea, New South Wales, Philippines, Queensland, Solomon Is., Sulawesi, Sumatera, and Vietnam.
