#590 They called me Carex lyngbyei, also known as Carex steenstrupii, Carex macounii, and Carex riabushinskii. I pay homage to the male botanists Steenstrup (I couldn’t find his records), John Macoun, and Riabushinsk (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1827.
Native to Alaska, Aleutian Is., British Columbia, California, Føroyar, Greenland, Iceland, Japan, Kamchatka, Khabarovsk, Korea, Kuril Is., Magadan, Oregon, Sakhalin, and Washington.
