#467 They called me Pothos scandens, also known as Pothos horsfieldii. I pay homage to the male botanist Thomas Horsfield. They first catalogued me in 1753.

Native to Andaman Is., Assam, Bangladesh, Borneo, Cambodia, China South-Central, Comoros, East Himalaya, India, Jawa, Laos, Lesser Sunda Is., Madagascar, Malaya, Maluku, Myanmar, New Guinea, Nicobar Is., Philippines, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Sulawesi, Sumatera, Thailand, Tibet, and Vietnam.

#466 They called me Swertia tetrapetala, also known as Swertia pallasii, Swertia bissetii, and Swertia tetrapetala var. wilfordii. I pay homage to the male botanists Peter Simon Pallas, James Bisset, and Wilford (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1789.

Native to Japan, Kamchatka, Khabarovsk, Korea, Kuril Is., Primorye, and Sakhalin.
