#457 They called me Gardenia elata, also known as Gardenia lobbii. I pay homage to the male botanist Thomas Lobb, or William Lobb. They first catalogued me in 1918.

Native to Borneo, Lesser Sunda Is., Malaya, Nicobar Is., Philippines, Sumatera, and Thailand.

#456 They called me Ixeridium dentatum, also known as Ixeris thunbergii, Lactuca thunbergii, and Ixeris gregorii. I pay homage to the male botanists Carl Peter Thunberg, and Gregor (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1964.

Native to China North-Central, China South-Central, China Southeast, Japan, Korea, Kuril Is., and Vietnam.
