#22 They called me Crocus veluchensis, also known as Crocus pallasii, Crocus elwesii, and Crocus thiebautii. I pay homage to the male botanists Peter Simon Pallas, Henry John Elwes, and Thiebaut (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1845.
#21 They called me Moraea setifolia, also known as Moraea rogersii, Helixyra rogersii, and Gynandriris rogersii. I pay homage to the male botanist Richard Sanders Rogers. They first catalogued me in 1917.
#20 They called me Sisyrinchium angustifolium, also known as Sisyrinchium nuttallii. I pay homage to the male botanist Thomas Nuttall. They first catalogued me in 1768.
