#771 They called me Euchiton japonicus, also known as Gnaphalium willdenowii. I pay homage to the male botanist Carl Ludwig Willdenow, or Carl Ludwig von Willdenow. They first catalogued me in 1974.

Native to China North-Central, China South-Central, China Southeast, Japan, Jawa, Korea, Lesser Sunda Is., Nansei-shoto, New Caledonia, New Guinea, Philippines, Sumatera, and Taiwan.

I pay homage to the male botanists Hugh Algernon Weddell, Prieur (I couldn’t find his records), and Leprieur (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1867.

Native to Andaman Is., Bismarck Archipelago, Borneo, Cambodia, Christmas I., Hainan, India, Laos, Lesser Sunda Is., Malaya, Myanmar, New Guinea, Nicobar Is., Philippines, Queensland, Sri Lanka, Sulawesi, Sumatera, Thailand, and Vietnam.
