I pay homage to the male botanists Philipp Franz von Siebold, or Karl (Carl) Theodor Ernst von Siebold, and Charles Henry Wright, Charles Wright, Edward Perceval (Percival) Wright, John Wright, or William Wright. They first catalogued me in 1850.

Native to Amur, China North-Central, Chita, Japan, Khabarovsk, Korea, Kuril Is., Manchuria, Mongolia, Primorye, and Sakhalin.

#610 They called me Maianthemum japonicum, also known as Tovaria rossii, and Smilacina rossii. I pay homage to the male botanist Alexander Milton Ross. They first catalogued me in 1986.

Native to Amur, China North-Central, China South-Central, China Southeast, Japan, Khabarovsk, Korea, Kuril Is., Manchuria, and Primorye.

#590 They called me Carex lyngbyei, also known as Carex steenstrupii, Carex macounii, and Carex riabushinskii. I pay homage to the male botanists Steenstrup (I couldn’t find his records), John Macoun, and Riabushinsk (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1827.

Native to Alaska, Aleutian Is., British Columbia, California, Føroyar, Greenland, Iceland, Japan, Kamchatka, Khabarovsk, Korea, Kuril Is., Magadan, Oregon, Sakhalin, and Washington.
