#577 They called me Syzygium nervosum, also known as Jambosa commersonii, Eugenia lambii, and Eugenia holmanii. I pay homage to the male botanists Commerson (I couldn’t find his records), Anthony L. Lamb, and Holman (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1828.

Native to Assam, Bangladesh, Borneo, Cambodia, China South-Central, China Southeast, Christmas I., East Himalaya, Hainan, India, Jawa, Lesser Sunda Is., Malaya, Maluku, Myanmar, Nepal, Northern Territory, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Sumatera, Thailand, Tibet, Vietnam, and Western Australia.
