#545 They called me Codonorchis lessonii, also known as Calopogon lessonii, Codonorchis skottsbergii, Codonorchis poeppigii, Pogonia lessonii var. skottsbergii, Epipactis lessonii, Pogonia lessonii, and Pogonia lessonii var. poeppigii. I pay homage to the male botanists Pierre Adolphe Lesson, Skottsberg (I couldn’t find his records), and Eduard Friedrich Poeppig. They first catalogued me in 1840.
