I pay homage to the male botanists Nauman (I couldn’t find his records), Hugh Cuming, and Naumann (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1880.

#762 They called me Hedyotis kurzii, also known as Oldenlandia wallichii. I pay homage to the male botanists George Charles Wallich, or Nathaniel Wallich, and Hermann Kurz, Holger Willibald Kurz, Wilhelm Sulpiz Kurz, or Albert Kurz. They first catalogued me in 1934.
