I pay homage to the male botanists Storck (I couldn’t find his records), and Joseph Banks, or Harlan Parker Banks. They first catalogued me in 1786.

Native to Fiji, New Caledonia, New Guinea, New South Wales, Niue, Norfolk Is., Queensland, Samoa, Sulawesi, Tonga, and Vanuatu.
