#968 They called me Sinningia speciosa, also known as Gloxinia speciosa var. menziesii, Gloxinia passinghamii, and Gloxinia merkii. I pay homage to the male botanists Archibald Menzies, Passingham (I couldn’t find his records), and Merk (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1877.
