#713 They called me Horsfieldia amygdalina, also known as Myristica kurzii, and Horsfieldia thorelii. I pay homage to the male botanists Thorel (I couldn’t find his records), and Hermann Kurz, Holger Willibald Kurz, Wilhelm Sulpiz Kurz, or Albert Kurz. They first catalogued me in 1897.

Native to Andaman Is., Assam, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China South-Central, China Southeast, Hainan, Laos, Myanmar, Nicobar Is., Thailand, and Vietnam.
