I pay homage to the male botanists Henrik Franz Alexander von Eggers, and Linden (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1815.
#426 They called me Salvia serotina, also known as Salvia blodgettii, Salvia micrantha var. blodgettii, and Salvia fernaldii. I pay homage to the male botanists Blodgett (I couldn’t find his records), and Merritt Lyndon Fernald. They first catalogued me in 1767.
